Triangular Gravel Garden

'I’ve just finished planting the gravel garden and removed the canes. It’s looking lovely already so will enjoy watching it develop.' - Julia

Here a problem transitional area of lawn and shrubs, was transformed into a beautiful gravel garden. Paths were created of flagstones bedded in local cotswold gravel, with weed proof membrane placed under the non-border areas. Water bubbles up over a mill-stone like water feature placed in a viewing spot, surrounded by cobbles. Border areas were created in the gravel, with enriched soil, due to the poor and rocky ground in this site, and with mulching not being an option in a gravel garden. Planting for the dry sunny site, included plants such as Erigeron, Echnopsis, Salvia, Echinacea, Eryngium, and Stipa.
