Our client indicated they wanted low maintenance and simplicity in their front garden, which had become dominated by a number of larger shrubs. These were cleared, and borders replanted with sedge, an acer and box hedging to complement existing plants.
Azalias were pruned hard back, and the crown of the pine trees lifted to open up the border near the house. Bugle and bulbs formed the under planting for the purple leaved Acer palmatum. Bark chipping mulch forms an attractive and weed suppressing layer on the borders and fresh turf was laid to the newly reclaimed lawn.
